I'm upgrading my 5-year-old rig and sticking with my existing storage, CPU, and motherboard. I'm a bit unsure about the compatibility of my new modular power supply and GPU. The power supply is 600W and comes with a 16-pin connector, but my GPU only needs a 6+2 connector. I noticed that the 6+2 PCIe cables provided don't specify 600W on them. Is this combination going to work fine, or am I overthinking things?

Your setup should work fine! Just ensure the 6+2 cables from the PSU are connected properly to your GPU. However, it seems like you might be planning a bit of an odd upgrade. For instance, don't spend $160 on 32GB of DDR4 RAM when you can get a much bigger performance boost by choosing a more advanced CPU. There are better options out there within a similar price range that can enhance your overall build significantly. You might want to check out CPUs like the Ryzen 5 5600 instead.

I already have the CPU, so I'm not replacing that. But should I really be concerned about bottlenecks? Thanks for the RAM advice though; I went with LPX since I'm familiar with it!
