I recently upgraded my rig with an RTX 9070XT, which I got at a great price. In the process of setting it up, I realized my current power supply is only 650W, so I've just ordered a 1000W PSU from Corsair. Now, I'm wondering if I need to upgrade any other components, specifically my motherboard and CPU. My current setup includes an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor running at 3.6 GHz, 64 GB of DDR4 RAM, and an MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard. I'd like to avoid switching to DDR5 RAM if I can, but I want to make sure my system runs smoothly. Any advice would be appreciated!

Just a heads up, a 750W PSU would have actually sufficed, and 850W is usually more than enough for most setups. That said, your Ryzen 3700X should work fine for 1440p gaming. If you're after a boost, consider moving to a 5000 series CPU, but your current motherboard is good for now.
You might want to think about getting a CPU like the 5700X if you want an upgrade. However, if you're planning to go for a newer CPU model, keep in mind that it might mean getting a new motherboard too since you'd need DDR5 RAM for those. But for now, your setup is not bad!
Thank you for the info!
Your Ryzen 3700X is still a solid performer, but if you ever want to upgrade, the 5800XT is a great option that will still give you a lot of power. Try out your new GPU with the current CPU first before making any costly upgrades!
The 5800XT should definitely be more than enough for your needs! If you're just gaming, you might not even need to upgrade right away.

Ahhh, yeah I'm learning my PSU error now! Appreciate the advice on the CPU and motherboard too. Thanks!
