Upgrading My Graphics Card – Need Advice!

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card from a Gigabyte GTX 1650 (4GB) to a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 WINDFORCE OC (8GB) or something similar within a budget of about €300. However, I currently have a Gigabyte H310M-S2H motherboard, and I'm unsure if it's compatible with the new card. Can anyone help me figure out which graphics card I could use without needing to replace everything else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Matthew.

The PCIE slot should be compatible with almost any card. Key questions are whether your power supply can support the new card—considering the RTX 5060 uses more power than your GTX 1650—and whether your CPU is up to par to avoid bottlenecking. If those checks are good, then go for the upgrade!

My power supply is an Antec ATX 550W - NE550M EC 80+ Bronze Semi Modular. Do you think I need to change it? I don’t want to change my CPU right now, but I might consider it later.

Your PCIE 3.0 X16 slot will work fine with the RTX 5060. The performance drop will be minimal, but be aware of potential CPU bottlenecking based on what games you play and your settings. Just ensure your power supply can handle the new GPU and that it fits in your case, and you should be good to go!

Thanks for your input! Is my Intel Core i5-9400F capable for this upgrade?

You should be able to use just about any GPU with your setup! Just make sure your power supply can handle the extra power that a faster card will require.
