Upgrading My Old Gaming PC: Tips for Reviving My I7 8700K Build

Hey everyone! I recently dug up my old gaming PC that I built over 7 years ago when I was on a tight budget. For the last five years, I've mostly been gaming on a Dell XPS 9510, which struggles with more demanding games. Now that I have a decent job, I want to revive my old rig. I'm looking into upgrading a few components. I believe the Intel I7 8700K is still a good CPU, but my RAM, GPU, and PSU definitely need an upgrade. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: Intel I7 8700K (water-cooled, might need replacement)
- Motherboard: ASROCK Z370 Extreme 4
- RAM: 8GB 2400mt/s (generic brand, will replace)
- GPU: MSI GTX 960 (will replace)
- PSU: 350W (also will replace)
- Storage: Samsung Evo 250GB SSD (OS) + Samsung T5 1TB external drive

I'm considering a budget of around £400-£500 for upgrades. What would you recommend for RAM, GPU, and PSU? Also, I have two monitors (one 1920x1080@144hz and another 2560x1080@60hz) and might upgrade to 1440p in the future, so keep that in mind!

I think you're on the right track not replacing the motherboard. Go for new RAM, like a kit of 3200 CL16 or 2600 CL18. For the GPU, look for something that suits your budget, but I've seen better performance with AMD cards lately. Just remember, with your budget, aiming for 1440p might be a stretch since you'll need a solid CPU and GPU for that.

For RAM, I'm thinking about the Corsair Vengeance 8GB 3200 CL16 sticks. Any recommendations on GPUs? I'm a bit lost on the newer options.
