Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC to maximize the performance of my RTX 4070 Super. I want to make sure I'm eliminating any bottlenecks and creating a balanced build that won't require upgrades for the next 4 to 7 years. I've only ever used Intel CPUs, but I've noticed that AMD is offering some better and cheaper options lately. I've seen some great Prime Day deals, like the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which I'm considering. Here's what I usually use my PC for: gaming at 3440x1440 144Hz, video rendering and editing, streaming, CAD modeling, and occasional VR.

My budget for upgrades is about $700 after selling my old parts. I'm planning to sell my current GPU, CPU, RAM, and motherboard to offset costs, so I might spend a bit more initially. The high-priority upgrades I have in mind include a new CPU, motherboard, RAM, and CPU cooler. I'm also considering a PSU upgrade for future-proofing and possibly a new case that supports USB-C. My current build consists of an Intel i7-8700k, an EVGA SuperNova 650W PSU, and a Phanteks Eclipse P400s case. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the best upgrades for my budget! Thanks a ton!

I put together a build that fits your needs! You might want to consider the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with an ASRock B850 Pro-A motherboard and 32GB of Patriot Viper Venom DDR5-6000 memory. The total comes to about $698, which fits your budget well. You can find the components listed on PCPartPicker. This build ensures great performance for gaming and your other tasks without breaking the bank!
