I've been diagnosing my PC and found that several parts are damaged, so I need to consider replacements instead of repairs. I'm looking to upgrade to an RTX 5070 Ti, which will influence the rest of my build. Ideally, I want a graphics card that performs significantly better than my current one and lasts for more than six years. However, I'm not well-versed in PC parts and comparisons, so I'm in need of advice. I attempted to use PC parts picker, but I got a bit overwhelmed. I'm located in Singapore, so I'll need to keep local prices in mind. My current build is from January 2020, and I've prioritized the parts I'd like to keep versus those I'm willing to replace. Here's a breakdown:
**Parts I'd Prefer to Keep:**
- **SSD 1:** Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 NVME SSD 500GB
- **SSD 2:** WD Black SN850X 2TB with Heatsink (bought in 2025)
- **Case Fans:** 4x Arctic P12 Max 120MM PWM Fans
- **CPU Cooling Fans:** 2x Coolermaster Hyper 620s CPU Air Cooler
- **Case:** Phanteks Enthoo Pro M SE with RGB Fan Frame
- **Disk Drive:** Asus 24x Internal DVD Writer M-Disc Support
**Lower Priority to Keep:**
- **PSU:** Seasonic Focus GX-750 750W Gold Full-Modular (not sure if I should keep this)
- **HDD:** Seagate Barracuda 2TB (might be okay replacing this with an SSD)
**Parts I'm Set on Replacing:**
- **GPU:** Gigabyte NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER (too damaged to repair)
- **CPU:** Intel Core i7-9700
- **RAM:** G.SKILL RIPJAWS V DDR4 3000 CL16 16GB (2x8GB)
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte Intel Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi (may need to replace alongside CPU)

You definitely need to replace your motherboard since the Z390 Aorus Pro only supports 8th and 9th Gen Intel CPUs. I'd also recommend upgrading your RAM to DDR5 if your budget allows. You’ll get better performance and compatibility with newer CPUs like Ryzen 5000 or Intel's latest models. Since you have some extra funds, making that upgrade could pay off in the long run!

That makes sense! DDR5 sounds like a good investment then. I've got a decent savings for upgrades too, so I'm considering it.
