Upgrading My RAM and Graphics Card for Gaming – Need Advice

Hey everyone! I'm not super knowledgeable about hardware since I'm more into software, but I'm looking to upgrade my RAM and graphics card because I'm getting into some more intense PC gaming. Currently, I have 16GB of RAM, and I also have another 8GB from my old PC that I was thinking of installing. My graphics card is a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, which has served me well but is starting to show its age. I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 3060, but I'm a bit worried about compatibility issues with my motherboard and other components. Here are my specs:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6 Core
- Motherboard: x470 Gaming Plus MAX
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 1TB SSD + 5x 500GB HDD
- PSU: Integrator MX 600W

Before you buy the RTX 3060, make sure to check your PSU (power supply unit). It's crucial because it dictates what kind of GPU you can support. You'll need at least one PCIe 8-pin connector for the 3060, so double-check that too. As for the RAM, I wouldn't mix your 16GB with the old 8GB. Instead, consider selling the 16GB and investing in a new 2x16GB kit with faster speeds like 3200 CL16.

Thanks for the info! I added my PSU details to the post and had a look inside – it looks like there might be space for three RAM sticks, but I'm really not an expert. Can I just add the old RAM to what I have?
