Upgrading My UPS: What Are My Options for a Power-Hungry Setup?

I've been having some issues with my current UPS because it keeps alarming due to being overloaded. I'm running a pretty high-power PC setup that includes a 5090 Astral LC and a 9800x3D processor, powered by a Seasonic 1600W Titanium PSU. Can anyone share their insights on whether I need a higher wattage UPS? I'm looking for recommendations from fellow PC builders on what to do here!

I have a Cyberpower 1500VA UPS, and it works perfectly with my setup, which is a bit less demanding than yours. Are you really pushing near the 1600W capacity? Just curious if you're evaluating your actual power usage.

Yeah, I just built this rig, so I'm still testing it. I'm definitely not hitting 1600W yet, but I can tell I'm overloading the UPS.

It seems like you definitely need a higher wattage UPS if you plan on running your system continuously without interruptions. Those components are pretty power-hungry, so a stronger UPS would be wise.

Honestly, any UPS over 1500VA can get pricey. It might be better to look at specific surge protectors that can handle the load if you’re not heavily reliant on battery backup.

It really depends on what you want from the UPS. If you're looking just for surge protection, you might be fine with your current one—provided you're not maxing out the load. But if you want battery backup during outages, you’ll need to consider upping the capacity.

I just want some surge protection too, and a backup is a bonus for power outages. I don't want my UPS freaking out during heavy loads, though!
