Upgrading RAM Caused My PC to Fail – What Should I Do?

I'm in desperate need of help! I recently upgraded my RAM in my B450M Steel Legend motherboard. I was using a single 8GB stick of Asgard DDR4 3600MHz. Today, I tried to add two new Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks (2x16GB, also DDR4 3600MHz). I installed them in the second and fourth slots (A2 and B2), but now my PC powers on without displaying anything. It runs for about 40 seconds before cycling on and off. I even tried putting the old RAM back in, but I'm still facing the same issue. I'm really confused and frustrated – did I mess something up?

Try giving it some time; it might just be doing memory training. Seriously, just step away for a bit and let it figure itself out.

Should I leave both RAM sticks in for training, or just one? Want to make sure I'm following the right steps.

Yeah, exactly! It can be alarming if you're not aware of that. Just leave it be for a little while.

If that doesn't work, consider removing the RAM and clearing the CMOS. After that, put it back in and see if the issue persists. If it's still acting up, you might want to return the Corsair RAM and look for another brand.

How do I clear the CMOS? What steps do I need to follow?
