Upgrading to a New GPU and Considering a 4K Monitor: Is It Worth It?

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build a new PC and need some advice on a few parts. I'm planning to upgrade from my current EVGA 12GB 3080 to the RTX 16GB 5080, possibly from PNY. Are there any known issues with their cards? It's a bummer to see EVGA exit the GPU market.

Also, I have a 1440p monitor right now, but I'm thinking about getting a 32-inch 4K native monitor. How much of a difference will I really notice between them? The jump from 1080p to 1440p was incredible, but what's the gaming experience like on a 32-inch 4K display? Is it even worth it to go for a 4K monitor? I typically use DLSS for upscaling, but I'm curious if the visuals look significantly better on a native 4K screen. Thanks for your insights!

I've heard good stuff about PNY, but most brands generally offer solid GPUs. The RTX 5080 is a strong choice, especially if you're going for 4K gaming since the performance gains really shine there. But you should consider that the price difference between the 5080 and something like the 5070Ti might not be worth it unless you're after that 4K experience.

Right now, a good setup is the 5070Ti paired with a high-refresh-rate 1440p monitor. If you love beautiful graphics over raw frame rates, then 4K could be a good fit for you. And if you're into gaming, think about an OLED monitor; many say that the 1440p OLED displays deliver a better experience than 4K IPS.

That's awesome to hear you have a 1440p 240Hz OLED! I've been curious if a 4K QDOLED improves the experience that much. I'm not too worried about the GPU's cost, but I am aware of the 5080's price-to-performance ratio. Appreciate your thoughts!
