I've recently upgraded my PC to AMD hardware but I'm facing major issues with gameplay. I installed a 7900XTX GPU and a 5700X CPU, with 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, aimed at running games smoothly on my 3440x1440p 144Hz monitor. However, I'm unable to play any of my games without crashing within minutes, and I've tried various troubleshooting methods including disk cleaner, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, lowering my RAM clock speed, and a bunch of other fixes, but nothing seems to work. Is AMD experiencing major issues here, or am I missing something crucial in my setup? I feel like I've wasted my money on these components. Help!

It's essential to do a proper driver cleanup, especially after switching from Nvidia to AMD. Have you tried using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)? It can completely clear old Nvidia drivers that might be causing conflicts. This isn’t solely an AMD issue, but making sure you have the right drivers is key!
I know some people have had success rolling back to older, more stable drivers. If you can find older versions, like 25.9.1 or 25.9.2, it might just solve your issues. Have you had any luck finding those?
I’ll look for older drivers, but I believe I tried rolling back through device manager once and it just removed the driver altogether.
Have you tried running just 2 RAM sticks instead of all four? Sometimes having all four can cause instability with Ryzen CPUs. Also, consider disabling XMP or DOCP settings if those are enabled; they can sometimes cause issues too. Just a thought!
I did try running just 2 sticks before, but I’ll give it another shot without DOCP enabled to see if it helps.
Just a thought: did you perform a fresh install of Windows after swapping from Intel to AMD? If not, that could be causing a lot of issues. Formatting your drive and starting from scratch often resolves a lot of these headaches. It might feel like a hassle, but it could save you a lot of time in the long run!
Actually, I upgraded from an AMD 3300X to the 5700X, and yes, I did a fresh install initially and followed all the driver install steps.
Double-check if your PSU is adequate for the 7900XTX. I read that it’s power-hungry and using a pigtail for power could lead to instability. You might need another PCIe cable or upgrade your PSU if you're seeing power draw issues. It can make a huge difference!
I’ll keep an eye on that. Could you suggest a reliable way to test if the issue is power-related?

Ah, good point! Should I run DDU even after fresh Windows 10 install?
