Upgrading to Ryzen 7 9800X3D: Do I Need to Reinstall Windows?

I'm planning to upgrade my PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an ASUS B650E motherboard. I currently have an M.2 drive that I want to keep using. Can I just plug it into the new motherboard and boot up, or will I need to reinstall Windows? I'm looking for a straightforward explanation on how to do this, as if I'm five years old! Here are my current specs: Ryzen 7 5800X, Gigabyte X570 Gaming X, 4070ti Super, 32 GB Corsair RAM, EVGA 850W G5, 1x Crucial 1 TB M.2, and 1x Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2.

Definitely, just pop that NVMe drive into the new motherboard. It should boot right up! If you're having trouble, you might have to tweak the boot mode settings from UEFI to Legacy, but that's usually not necessary. Also, consider grabbing a B850 motherboard instead—it'll ensure full support for the 9800X3D right away!

Yeah, you can just move your NVMe drive to the new board and it should boot up without any issues. Just make sure everything’s plugged in correctly. You might need to check your BIOS settings if something goes wrong, but generally, it should work fine.
