I'm currently using an ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac motherboard and I'm interested in upgrading my WiFi to the 6 standard. I'm debating whether to replace the M.2 WiFi chip with a new one or to just install a PCIe WiFi card. I have a couple of options in mind: an M.2 WiFi chip that supports Bluetooth and a PCIe card that also has Bluetooth capability. What would be the easier approach, and will Bluetooth continue to work regardless of which option I choose?

If you go the M.2 route, make sure the chip you mentioned is compatible with your B550 board and that it supports Bluetooth. It could be a clean upgrade, but if you're not comfortable with that install, the PCIe option is definitely easier.
Swapping the M.2 chip is probably the better option in terms of performance, but it's usually simpler to just add a PCIe WiFi card. The M.2 module has to be secured with a screw and typically connects with two cables. In contrast, the PCIe card is also secured with a screw but connects via one USB cable for Bluetooth. Just keep in mind that the PCIe card is compact, which could make installation a little tricky.
