Using Four Daisy-Chained Fans with the Asus TUF Gaming GT302 Case: Do I Need a Controller?

I'm in the process of building a PC with the Asus TUF Gaming GT 302 case, which comes with four daisy-chained fans. I couldn't find a fan controller included with the case. Is it normal for this setup, or do I need to buy a separate controller? My motherboard specifies that each fan header has a 1 amp limit, while each fan draws 0.45 amps. I could separate the fans, but that would require longer cables, which seems a bit inconvenient for such a spacious case. What am I missing here?

You might want to double-check if the .45A rating is for the fan motors or just the LED specs. If it's the fan draw, that's pretty high for fans of this type. Just confirming it would help before you proceed, since you don’t want to exceed the limits of your motherboard.

Yeah, I couldn't find a clear source on that either. I have the TUF Gaming AR140 fans, and it states DC12V 0.45A on the label. It’s confusing distinguishing the fan draw from LED consumption.

Those fans should be PWM and have RGB capabilities. There should be two connectors for controlling them—one 4-pin for PWM and another 3-pin for ARGB. Are you set up that way, or just connecting everything to one header?

Yeah, the ARGB connections are daisy-chained to a single header, and the limit is 3A, so I'm not worried there. I just want to confirm the total current draw for daisy-chaining those fans to one 1A header.
