Video Issues After Windows 11 Update – Need Help!

Hey everyone! I was using my PC just fine until I restarted for a Windows update. After the reboot, the video stopped working. I suspect it might be a conflict between Windows and my AMD drivers. When I disconnect the DisplayPort cable from my graphics card and reconnect it, the image shows up for a second or two before the screen goes black again, as if it's not connected to any video output. I've even done a factory reset and utilized DDU, but everything works until I reinstall the AMD drivers, and then the same black screen issue returns. I had to work really quickly while reconnecting the DP cable because I only get a moment before it goes black again, even during the initial Windows setup. However, my screen doesn't black out when I'm in the BIOS or Windows Safe Mode. I apologize if my English isn't perfect; I really need help with this issue and appreciate any suggestions!

Have you tried swapping out the DisplayPort cable? It’s a simple check that can sometimes make a difference.

If the cable isn't the issue, my son's AMD GPU also faced problems after upgrading to Windows 11. We needed to disable the settings that allowed Windows to replace the GPU driver and updated the AMD CPU and Chipset Driver directly from their site. You might want to give that a shot!

Thanks for the tip! It wasn't the cable since I could access Safe Mode without the black screen. I followed what someone else suggested and it surprisingly worked! Not sure why, but I’m glad it’s resolved.
