Weird Beeping from My External Hard Drive – Is It Failing?

I've been using my external hard drive to back up data, but recently it started making strange beeping noises after I unplugged it and plugged it back in. I know that noises like these can indicate a drive is failing, but I want to confirm this before I go through the hassle of buying a new one and transferring all my data. The drive is still readable, and I'm really just concerned about whether this noise is a sign of a more serious issue or not.

What kind of beeping are you hearing? Generally, you'd expect clicking sounds, not beeping. It might be worth checking out your specific hard drive model online to see if the beeping is a known issue or if it could be an intentional sound related to something else you might have done, like deleting files.

I thought it might be intentional too, especially since I deleted some stuff right before. I looked it up, but I didn’t find much information on the aiolo innovation 2TB external hard drive model A4. If anyone else knows something, let me know!
