Hey everyone! My work has given me a stipend of $50 a month to spend on AI tools, and I'm looking for your recommendations. As a senior engineer, I'm currently using ChatGPT for various tasks like coding help and performance reviews. I'm thinking of getting ChatGPT Plus which costs around $20 a month. We also have access to Gemini Pro and NotebookLM as part of our Google Workspace, which are nice tools. Additionally, we pay for Cursor for coding purposes.
What other tools should I consider? Is Perplexity worth it, or should I look into Claude or something else?

Honestly, I think Gemini is way better than ChatGPT right now. I've been using Gemini for most things, but I found it lacking in coding. ChatGPT holds its ground better when it comes to writing code, as I've had issues with Gemini making up commands that don’t exist.
You should definitely check out the AI integration in VS Code. It's been way more useful than any other AI tools I've tried, and it works well for writing configs and normal chat too. Plus, it’s free, so if you ever decide to spend, that could be a good place to start looking.
If you already have Cursor and Gemini Pro, maybe look for something focused on writing or research. Tools like Grammarly or Perplexity should be right up your alley. Also, you might want to try Scholarly for academic purposes if that fits your work.
I agree with you there! Gemini is impressive, but I still trust ChatGPT more for coding-related tasks.
