What are good alternatives to Windows Remote Desktop now that it’s phasing out?

With the Windows Remote Desktop app facing an end of support starting May 27th, 2025, I need some recommendations on alternatives. I'm specifically looking for something to RDP into my servers directly without any cloud involvement, as I want to log in locally. I've heard the new Windows App doesn't address my needs, so what other options are out there?

Don't worry too much! The built-in MSTSC client isn't going away anytime soon; it's still going to be available for use. So if you're comfortable with that, you can keep using it without issues.

I'd recommend checking out Remote Desktop Manager. It's a solid tool and has been useful for me since 2012. You can download it for free [here](https://devolutions.net/remote-desktop-manager/downloadfree/), and it works well for managing multiple connections at once.

Totally agree! I've used it for years too and it's been reliable.
