What are some alternatives to Joan for room display systems?

Hey everyone! We're on the lookout for a room display system that functions similarly to Joan but without the need to purchase their tablets. We already have screens set up in our meeting rooms, and it seems wasteful to spend more on additional hardware. We're trying to be more mindful about minimizing waste and unused equipment. It doesn't matter if the solution involves wall-mounted tablets or web dashboards, as long as it doesn't restrict us to a single brand of device. It would be a bonus if it can integrate with Google and Outlook so that we can easily check when rooms are free. Any suggestions?

Don't forget about Zoom Rooms! They offer a ton of options for meeting displays.

You might want to check if you can use the Joan platform on your own screens or tablets. They offer a solution for that! Here’s the link for more info: https://getjoan.com/any-display-brand/

How does that pricing work? Is it the same subscription, just without the hardware cost?

Meetingroom365 has been great for us. We use generic Android tablets managed through our MDM, along with some sleek tablet-specific wall mounts. They’re powered via POE to USB adapters. We did have some issues with Samsung's bloated Android version, but that's on them, not on Meetingroom365.

Yeah, Joan’s fantastic if you want battery-powered panels, but if that’s not your focus, pairing a cheap Android tablet with Archi is typically the best combo, in my opinion.

If you're looking for something that works on any tablet, consider Archi or Envoy Rooms. Both have apps for Android and iOS for room displays.
