What are some good After Effects alternatives for Linux?

Hey everyone! I'm an editor looking to transition to Linux once Windows 10 reaches the end of its support. Since I've heard that Linux doesn't support Adobe software, I'm curious if there are any solid alternatives to After Effects that work well on Linux. I mainly use After Effects for creating those engaging 'TikTok style' edits and other personal projects. Any recommendations would be really appreciated!

Honestly, when you say 'TikTok style', what exactly are you referring to? Is it just simple cuts and adding text? Because you can do that with just about any video editor. But if you're looking for effects, those programs should help!

Haha, not quite! I'm talking about quick transitions, some velocity changes, color grading, and maybe even using graphs.

If you're looking for more options, I've heard about a bunch of tools like Blender, Kdenlive, Pitivi, Lightworks, OpenShot, DaVinci Resolve, and Blackmagic Fusion. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, but you might find one that fits your needs!

Check out Natron! It's often mentioned as a solid alternative to After Effects. I haven't used either app myself, but people say it's quite comparable.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely check it out.
