I'm thinking about switching from Windows to Linux for my laptop that I use for university, but I rely on OneNote a lot for taking notes with my Wacom tablet. As an engineering student, I primarily use it for math equations, jotting down notes, and creating graphs. Are there any solid recommendations for note-taking applications on Linux that would work well for this kind of usage?

If you're into handwritten notes, Xjournal++ is a good fit. It really captures the feel of writing by hand and allows for some nice graphical elements.
I usually write notes by hand, then I typeset them using LaTeX. It's a bit of extra work, but if you're into math, it can really polish up your presentations. Just a personal tip, I'm on the spectrum, so take it with a grain of salt!
Obsidian is another great choice. It's fairly affordable, works smoothly on Linux, and syncs well across devices. Plus, it has a nice community around it. Notion is also viable if you're okay with a web-based app.
I've been using Joplin and really like it! It's a solid option for note-taking and works across various platforms. Just a heads up, it might be a bit text-centric, but you can still sketch a bit if you use a plugin.
