I'm looking to get a monitor arm for my new secondary monitor. I'm considering the Ergotron LX for my main monitor eventually, but for now, I want to try something cheaper to see how I like using a monitor arm. My main concern is that the arm could fail and damage my 27" AOC 1440p monitor or anything below it. I'm aiming for options under $100, as it seems if I'm spending more, I might as well just go for the Ergotron from the start.

I've had a positive experience with VIVO monitor arms. They offer good quality at a reasonable price.
Most budget monitor arms work pretty well. If you purchase one on Amazon, you can return it until the end of January, so that's something to consider!

Do you have any specific models in mind? I’ve been looking at this one but wonder if it’s too much for a 27" monitor.
