I'm planning to launch three blogs for events with my friends, and I'm looking for some straightforward, modern hosting platforms. I've been using WordPress for years, but I feel like it's too much for what I need right now. I want to find options where I can quickly set up websites with my own domain, that look decent and are mobile-friendly. All I really need is to write posts, add images, create basic pages, and customize a logo and title. I haven't explored many alternatives since 2011, aside from what I remember about Blogger. Any recommendations for platforms that fit this description?

How about using Carrd for quick site setups? It's really user-friendly. Also, Tumblr is still a solid option. If you're looking for some minimalistic blogging styles, you can check out scribbles.page, micro.blog, or bearblog.dev.
You might want to check out Next.js hosted on GitHub and deploy it using Netlify. It's a pretty easy and free solution that should meet your needs!
Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate the variety. I’m looking for something that focuses a bit more on being a website rather than just a blog.
