I'm about to wrap up my time with Datto BCDR and I'm looking for some recommendations on backup tools. Specifically, I'm interested in solutions that can provide both backup and disaster recovery capabilities, enabling me to quickly spin up my 5 virtual machines in the cloud if a major issue arises on-site. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

Check out Slide; they let you spin up your applications in their cloud for DR purposes for free! Might be worth a look!
I'm really happy with the Rubrik product! Fair warning though, the sales process was pretty brutal. But once you get through that, it's a solid choice.
Just a heads up, most backup companies like Veeam, Cove, and Acronis primarily focus on backup and lack full DRaaS options like Datto provides. Like, with Veeam, you’d need a third-party solution for DR, Cove wants you to provide your own hardware, and Acronis only allows you to spin up from the latest recovery point (and they charge extra for that). True DRaaS is hard to come by in that crowd!
I had a horrible experience with Datto. For backup, I've found CommVault Metallic to be decent, but honestly, I'm leaning towards Veeam for its features and reliability.
I went with Veeam as well, and we use Wasabi for our third-party DR service. Works pretty well for us!
Yeah, you’re spot on. It's definitely something to consider when choosing a solution.
