What are the best Apache, PHP, and MySQL development environments for Linux Mint with a GUI?

I'm looking for a development environment for Linux Mint that offers Apache, PHP, and MySQL, ideally with a graphical interface like UniformServerZ or WAMP. I previously used UniformServerZ, which provided an all-in-one solution that was easy to control, and for more serious projects, I relied on WAMP. However, since switching to Linux Mint, I've struggled to find a suitable equivalent. I tried XAMPP but ran into issues with a 403 permission denied error when setting up local domains. Unfortunately, I made things worse by accidentally removing permissions from the root, which forced me to reinstall the OS. So now, I'm hoping to find a GUI-based web development environment that works smoothly. Any recommendations?

If you're looking for something straightforward, ddev is a great alternative. It simplifies the process of getting a PHP environment up and running, and while it might not have a traditional GUI, you can find MySQL GUI tools to work with your Docker setup.

A GUI would definitely make managing things a lot easier for me, especially after my last experience with XAMPP. Thanks for the suggestion!

Have you considered using Docker? It might be a bit of a learning curve, but it provides quite a bit of flexibility for PHP environments. You can easily set up containers for Apache and MySQL, and there's plenty of documentation out there to help you out.
