I'm looking to build or buy a PC that can handle heavily modded Minecraft without crashing, as my current laptop struggles with mods. I primarily play vanilla Minecraft, but when I try to use mods, it freezes and crashes. My budget is $1000 USD. As this will be my first PC, I'd love some advice on which parts or components would be ideal for this setup.

Minecraft can run on low-end machines but can also challenge high-end rigs with the wrong settings! It sounds like you'll want a solid CPU and ample RAM. I recommend looking at an AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 paired with at least 16GB of RAM. That should give you a good balance between performance and price.
Make sure to list out the specific mods you want to use! For example, mods like Cobblemon or RL Craft can be demanding, especially with shaders. If you can manage a decent graphics card like the GTX 1660 or something similar, it’ll help a lot. Plus, don’t forget about cooling and power supply to support everything!

I'm looking to use a mix of smaller and larger mods, including some shaders, so I appreciate the heads up!
