My MacBook Air from a few years ago broke, and I'm on the lookout for a good laptop that runs Linux. I've heard a lot about ThinkPads, but I'm unsure which model to choose or where to buy one. I want something under $500 since I'm kind of broke right now. Any suggestions?

If I were you, I'd go for a ThinkPad with AMD graphics. They have a solid reputation for Linux compatibility. If you're considering a model, you can't go wrong with the T14 G1; I've used it with multiple distros and faced no issues. Gaming is decent too, even with integrated graphics!

Nice to know! I've always loved ThinkPads for their build quality. Are there particular distros you recommend for gaming?
