I'm gearing up to buy the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, but I'm unsure about the cooler situation. I currently have the standard cooler that came with my AMD Ryzen 5 2600. Is that good enough, or should I invest in a better one? If so, what cooler would you recommend that fits within a $50 budget?

I used the standard Wraith cooler with my 5800X3D, and it worked fine for me—even under heavy gaming loads. Just keep in mind, I have a large case with good airflow, so your mileage might vary.
If you're looking for a solid cooler, I recommend the Thermalright PA120 or something similar. By the way, the 5700X3D doesn't actually come with a cooler, so you'll definitely need to get one!
I've heard great things about the Thermalright Peerless Assassin and the Thermalright Phantom Spirit. They're both around $35 and perform really well!
Yeah, that's what I was thinking! Glad to hear it confirmed!

I just realized that! Thanks for the heads up!
