I'm planning to upgrade my PC, primarily focusing on the GPU, since I've heard that NVIDIA is reducing their GPU supply significantly. Currently, I have a GTX 1660 Super, paired with an i5-9600K CPU on a Z390 UD motherboard, and 16GB of RAM. I'm considering switching to an RTX 5060, but I'm unsure if it will pair well with my CPU. Should I also think about replacing my CPU, or is there a better GPU option? I'm pretty new to this, so I'd appreciate any advice you can share!

The RTX 5060 would work fine with your CPU. There will always be some bottleneck in a system, but it shouldn’t be a big deal in your case. If you're open to alternatives, consider the 9060 XT. The 8GB version outperforms the 5060 and is cheaper, while the 16GB version competes well with the 5060 Ti. The value for mid-range cards right now definitely favors the 9060 XT!
The 5060 will work with your setup, but just keep in mind it won't help much in CPU-heavy games. That said, it's not a huge problem! If you're not looking to upgrade both components now, the 9060 XT 16GB is worth checking out for a better long-term option when you do decide to upgrade the CPU later.
I appreciate the info! I’ll consider the 9060 XT, but I want to keep the budget tight for now.
How much are you planning to spend on the upgrades? Also, don't forget to check your power supply's wattage! It's crucial to know if your current setup can handle the new GPU.
I'm looking at around $500 total, but I'm aiming for about $300-$400 just for the GPU—need to see how that fits in. I’ll check the wattage when I get a chance.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into the 9060 XT.
