I'm looking to upgrade my current AM4 system instead of switching to AM5 since that would require replacing nearly all my components, which I want to avoid. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 2600, a GTX 1650 Super, 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz, an MSI mini ITX B450i Gaming Plus AC motherboard, and a Seasonic Focus Plus 550 PSU. I primarily play games like CS2, Dying Light 2, and Minecraft. I'm not interested in extravagant future-proof options and want to keep costs reasonable. Currently, I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600X3D, a used RTX 3060 Ti or 5060, and possibly bumping my RAM up to 32GB. Should I also consider a new PSU? Any suggestions for better options?

I recommend going for the Ryzen 5600 or, if you can find one, the 5700X3D. Those CPUs are fantastic for gaming. Just keep in mind that if you upgrade your CPU, you’ll want to update your BIOS to the latest version to avoid any issues.
Your current list is pretty solid! You could opt for the 5700X3D or the 5800X. Both are great for 1440p gaming and fairly priced used. Just remember to check that your BIOS is updated when you swap the CPU.
You should definitely think about upgrading to a Ryzen 5700X3D. For the GPU, a 16GB RX 9060 XT would be a great fit without breaking the bank. Also, investing in a decent PSU for around $80-100 is wise for future-proofing your build.

I mainly play at 1080p, so I think I’ll just go with the 5600X3D or the 5060. Thanks!
