What Are the Best Upgrade Options for My Prebuilt PC?

I'm new to PC building and own a standard prebuilt setup. It features an Intel i5 processor, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an RTX 4060. I'm looking to upgrade it to enhance its performance beyond the baseline, ideally when I have a bit more budget. What upgrades should I consider starting with?

Definitely make sure to check compatibility before upgrading. Your current PSU should handle the new components, but it’s always good to double-check. Also, maybe look into cooling solutions if you’re going for a more power-hungry GPU!

For solid upgrades, I suggest starting with a new motherboard and a CPU. You could look at something like the Gigabyte Aorus B850 paired with an R5 9600X. That'll improve your overall performance a lot. Memory is also key, so I would consider G.Skill Trident CL30 32GB. Just keep in mind, a good GPU upgrade would set you back around the same price—about $700. A 9070 XT would be a great choice too. Don't forget a solid power supply like the Thermaltake GF1 750W to support these upgrades!

I'm hoping to stay in the thousand-dollar range and I'm based in the States.
