I'm looking for ways to help my teenagers learn about AI beyond just using random tools. I've been diving into AI myself and noticed there's a ton of resources for adults, but not much tailored for kids, aside from basic coding apps. I want them to grasp how AI thinks, learn to ask the right questions, break down problems, and create simple projects that reveal what happens behind the scenes. Any suggestions?

If you want your kids to have a solid understanding, start with the basics of linear algebra. It's crucial for grasping how AI algorithms work and will give them a better foundation for more complex concepts later on.

There are indeed many great courses designed for kids and beginners. They cover everything from crafting prompts to generating images and training AI. I took one myself which was life-changing! If you're interested, I can share the link to those courses. I'm eager to hear any other ideas as well!

Have you thought about teaching them what you've learned? Depending on their age, sharing your knowledge could be really effective. It could also reinforce your own understanding as you explain concepts to them.

I totally get where you're coming from! When I wanted my teens to learn about AI, I found that most resources were aimed at adults. One fantastic platform I discovered is AIbert X. It's free and offers interactive challenges that teach both AI concepts and coding. There’s an AI tutor that gives hints, which really encourages them to think critically instead of just taking shortcuts. Surprisingly, my teens actually enjoy it! I’d love to hear more ideas from others too!

Forget structured teaching, I say let them read widely! Expose them to various subjects, from science to creative stories. This helps them learn to ask the right questions later on. Without a solid reading foundation, prompting AI correctly can be tough.
