I'm a fullstack developer who's been using Windows since XP and I honestly have no major complaints about it. Recently, my curiosity about Linux sparked as I started exploring different distributions like Arch, Zorin, and Ubuntu. I can set it up to resemble my Windows workspace, and I don't have heavy gaming needs—everything I play works fine on Linux, so that isn't a blocker for me. However, I haven't found anything on Linux that makes me say, 'Wow, I need this!' I'm reaching out to understand better why so many developers love Linux. What am I missing?

Honestly, just give Linux a shot! You're overanalyzing it. If it fits your needs, why stick with Windows? People are moving to Linux because a lot of updates just make Windows worse, and it can get pretty annoying.
Switching to Linux could provide you with a more efficient workflow. The package management is smoother, and you gain better control and security over your system, plus the resource usage is generally better. Tools like VSCode work perfectly on Linux without the bloat you deal with in Windows. A huge bonus is not having to worry about Windows updates breaking your setup!

Totally agree! LibreOffice is a great alternative to what Microsoft offers now. Windows has turned into a mess, seriously.
