I recently picked up a budget-friendly 120GB Kingspec 2.5" SSD to tinker with, but I'm having some trouble. When I run hdparm -tT, I can't get it to read faster than 330 MB/s. Is this speed typical for this model, or could I be doing something wrong? I've already tried using different SATA cables and plugged it into a SATA 6Gb/s port. Anyone have insights on this?

It's actually pretty common for that speed with Kingspec drives, depending on the model. They have a lot of different types, and while some can hit higher speeds, others are just designed for basic performance. You might not be doing anything wrong!

Yeah, I think the P4-120 is on the slower end since it's more of an entry-level drive.
