I'm currently working on data structures and algorithms in Java and I'm considering diving into Java backend development. However, I've been hearing a lot of chatter about Java being on the decline, which has left me really confused about whether it's a good path to pursue. Can anyone help clarify this? Why are people saying Java is dying?

Java isn't dying at all! It's still widely used, especially for backend development in enterprise systems. Plus, a lot of Android apps are built with it. If you enjoy working with Java, go for it! Learning it will keep doors open for you down the line, especially if you ever want to pick up C# or Go later.
Java is great for both data structures and backend work. If you transition to C# in the future, you'll find it pretty easy because of the similarities. And let’s not forget, many startups and established firms still rely on Java, so job opportunities are definitely out there!
