I'm transitioning from a laptop with a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti to a new build with a 7800X3D. I'm looking for a GPU that will be "just OK" for playing some recent games. My previous laptop did a decent job, but I'm curious to see what the excitement around Clair Obscur is all about. I don't plan on spending a ton of money on this upgrade since gaming isn't my top priority. I'm not looking to max out graphics settings or play on a large 4K monitor, so something that meets these needs would be perfect.

If you’re trying to keep costs down but still want decent performance, I’d recommend the 9060 XT with 16GB. It’s a solid option for 1440p gaming without breaking the bank. If you can stretch a little, the 5060 Ti with 16GB is also good, but it might be a bit pricier depending on where you are.
Absolutely, the 9060 XT will do just fine for what you’re planning!
Honestly, you shouldn't aim too low with your GPU. You have a good CPU, so getting a GPU that complements your build is important. Aim for something that won’t bottleneck your performance. The 9060 XT is a wise choice, but keep an eye on pricing!
If you're looking for the cheapest option, then the Arc B580 could be worth considering. Just check if it fits your requirements for gaming before jumping in!
You might also want to think about getting a used 3070 or 3080 if you can find a good deal. Those cards offer great performance, especially for the newer titles, and sometimes they can be cheaper than expected if someone is upgrading.
Good idea! Used cards can really give you a bang for your buck.

Yeah, the price difference can be a dealbreaker. Make sure to check local prices!
