I recently tried to install a Windows update, but it failed and showed a message like "failed to update, reversing changes." Now, my system is booting directly into Linux, and I noticed that the Windows Boot Manager option is missing from the menu. I also want to mention that I chose manual partitioning instead of the "install alongside" option when I set up Linux.

I’ve been through this before and found that using a live Linux distro like SystemRescue can be really helpful. It has various system repair tools that might help you fix the boot issue, especially since Windows can sometimes mess up the GRUB bootloader when dual-booting. You can check it out here: [SystemRescue](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SystemRescue).
That sounds useful! Just curious, do you need another USB drive to set up SystemRescue or can it just run from your existing Linux USB?
