I just got a new prebuilt PC with a GeForce 3050 GPU, but I'm stressed out because there's no slot for my monitor cable, which I believe is a VGA (it's the blue one with screws). I tried connecting it to my motherboard, but since my Ryzen 5 4500 doesn't have an integrated GPU, that didn't work either. I really want to start gaming but don't want to spend extra on a new monitor. What are my options?

Honestly, you're probably better off getting a new monitor. Anything with HDMI will be a huge upgrade from VGA, and you can find decent ones secondhand or for under $100.
There are lots of used monitors available for about $20 that have HDMI ports. It's worth checking out local listings or even thrift shops!
Do you have an old TV? If it has HDMI, you could plug your GPU into that for a quick fix until you buy a new monitor.
It's definitely time for a monitor upgrade if you're still using VGA. Even the least expensive HDMI monitors will give you a much better experience!
You could consider picking up a VGA to HDMI or DisplayPort adapter for now to make it work, but it's probably just a temporary solution until you find a more modern monitor.
