Hey everyone, I lost my phone about six days ago at a Walmart in North Fort Myers, FL, while visiting my mom. I'm six hours away from that location now, and I've done the usual steps: deactivated my SIM and marked my phone as lost with Google's tracking feature. I even set up a message on the screen with my mom's contact number.
According to the tracker, the last known location is still at the Walmart, but it's not at the customer service desk. I suspect it might have ended up in ecoATM, the phone kiosk they have there. I've emailed them a couple of times with no response. I can't call the police since I don't have my phone, and my mom is hesitant to get involved. I really need help figuring out what I should do next!

Have you considered finding someone to help you contact the police? Also, they might let you file a report in person, which can be useful. It’s important to have a formal report since ecoATM will work with law enforcement for stolen devices. If you can borrow a friend's phone to call them, ecoATM might be able to help, as they have a process for this.
I definitely need to talk to the police somehow. I haven’t thought about that angle. I’ll try to convince my mom to just call them!
