So here's the deal: I recently found an old work iPad I thought I had lost after quitting my job about a year ago. I remember getting charged for it on my last paycheck, which upset me because I thought I had turned it in. Apparently, I didn't. My fiancée found it while cleaning out the closet, and although I charged it up, it's locked down with work programs like a VPN and other security apps. I've already paid for it, so returning it won't help. Is there any way to get it working again, or is it just a costly paperweight now?

Honestly, it might just be a brick unless you can get them to release it from management or get a refund for turning it in. It's a tough situation, but good luck!
Have you thought about reaching out to your old job? They might be able to help you unlock it, or at least tell you what to do with the management system in place.
You might be able to do a factory reset, but since it’s managed, that could be tricky. It might tell you that it can't be reset because of the management system. I’d recommend searching for steps to reset a managed iPad, but it may not work as expected.
Tried that, but it says it's not possible because it's managed.
Yeah, I tried calling them, but they haven't responded.
