Hey everyone! I just finished my final loop interview for the Engineering Operations Technician position and got some great news from a recruiter 4 days later – I'm being offered the job next week! I'm feeling excited but a bit nervous about what to expect, especially regarding the level of the offer. I managed to answer almost all the technical questions well, only stumbling on one or two, and I also provided thorough explanations for the concepts discussed. I believe I did well on the leadership principles part too. With 2 years of experience in managing mechanics and a mechanical engineering degree, do you think I should be expecting an L4 offer? Also, what tips do you have for negotiating my salary? I'm based in Columbus, Ohio, so any insights on the pay range in this area would be super helpful!

If the recruiter said you did well in the loop, you should definitely be getting an offer! Usually, these offers aren’t very negotiable, so keep that in mind. The base salary might seem a bit lower than expected, but don’t forget to factor in total compensation, like signing bonuses or RSU allocations, which can make a difference.
Congrats on making it through the interview process! I’ve been in the same position as you, and I’d say this is definitely your chance to negotiate. Ask about signing bonuses or relocation incentives – I saw others land bonuses between 5-10k which really helps. As for the offer level, L4 is attainable if you did well, but it also depends on the exact role and what they're looking for. You've invested a lot of time in interviews, so it might be tough for them to backtrack now! Good luck, and enjoy being part of the Amazon team!
Yeah, definitely push for those bonuses! They can significantly enhance your overall compensation package. It's great to hear you’re ready to tackle this!
