What Could Be Causing My Motherboard Issues After Repair?

I recently sent my motherboard to ASUS RMA because it had a solid orange DRAM light and wouldn't display anything. They said they found a burned resistor, replaced it, and tested it to confirm it was working well. However, after reinstalling everything, I'm facing the exact same problem: the DRAM light is solid orange and there's still no display on boot.

Here's my setup:
- ROG STRIX B650-A
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 64GB (2x32GB)
- ASUS ROG Loki 850W PSU

I've attempted several troubleshooting steps both before and after the RMA, including re-seating the RAM multiple times, testing each stick in different slots, replacing the CMOS battery, clearing CMOS settings, updating to the latest BIOS, and checking all power connections. A local tech even confirmed the motherboard was faulty before I sent it.

Could there be another component that failed while my motherboard was away? Or is it possible that the repair didn't fully resolve the issue? The board had been functioning normally for two years before this failure.

It’s possible that your CPU's memory controller could be damaged, especially if you're still getting the same issue. You might want to try swapping in a different CPU to see if that resolves the problem.

Thanks, I hadn’t thought of that. I’ll reach out to a friend to see if I can borrow one for testing.
