What CPU cooler should I get for my LGA 2011 motherboard?

I'm building my first PC and ran into a problem. I purchased a Machinist x99 motherboard and a Jonsbo CR-1400 EVO CPU cooler, but it turns out they aren't compatible because the motherboard uses the LGA 2011-3 socket and I'm not sure what socket type the cooler supports. Are there any workarounds, or will I need to buy a new CPU cooler?

Yeah, you'll definitely need another cooler. You might consider something like the Hyper 212, which is a reliable choice for older sockets like yours.

Really? Are there no other options? I was hoping to just find a mount for my existing cooler.

Unfortunately, you'll need a different cooler that's specifically compatible with the LGA 2011-3 socket. The Jonsbo CR-1400 EVO won't fit your motherboard, so it's time to search for a cooler that does.

Are there any alternatives, like getting an LGA 2011 mount for my cooler? I want to avoid buying a new one if possible.
