I'm looking to upgrade my PC as I play games at 1440p on a 180Hz monitor. I'm particularly interested in enjoying Battlefield 6 with smooth frame rates when it releases later this year. Currently, I have an RTX 4070 Super, and I'm planning to upgrade to a B850/X870 motherboard along with 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I'm debating whether to go for the 7800X3D or the 9800X3D. Would the 7800X3D be sufficient for my needs, or would the 9800X3D be too much?

The 7800X3D should be good enough for 1440p gaming. You can find benchmarks online, but keep in mind that hitting 180fps might be a stretch with your setup.
