I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 3700X from 2020, and I've noticed I'm heavily CPU bound. I have a 9060XT with 16GB of RAM, but I'm unable to upgrade to AM5. I've considered getting a Ryzen 7 5800X, but I'm not sure how much of an improvement it would be over my current CPU. Can anyone share their thoughts on this upgrade or suggest other options? Thanks!

The 5800X or 5800XT are your best bets for an AM4 upgrade. The X3D chips are out of stock and overpriced, so they aren’t worth pursuing right now.
Upgrading to the 5800X or even the 5700X would definitely give you a performance boost, but don't expect a massive jump. If you're also considering enhancements, maybe look into getting a 1440p IPS monitor as it would complement your GPU nicely and enhance your overall gaming experience.
