I'm new to Linux and thinking about making the switch since I'm not thrilled with how Windows is evolving. I'm looking for a desktop computer that can handle games from the last ten years, with Fallout 4 being the most graphically demanding title I plan to play. Ideally, I'd like something with two HDMI ports, but that's not a dealbreaker. Also, I'd appreciate any tips on migrating from Windows to Linux in general!

Have you checked if your monitors can take DisplayPort? For gaming on Linux, AMD GPUs generally offer better support than Nvidia. Also, keep in mind that HDMI 2.1 support is complicated due to licensing issues, so using DisplayPort can be more reliable.
If your current computer can run Fallout 4, you might not need a new one just yet. But if you're looking for an upgrade, that's cool! For AMD GPUs, just install and go. If it's an Nvidia card, grab the proper drivers. If you hit any snags, feel free to ask for help!
Fallout 4 isn't too demanding, so a decent AMD graphics card should work just fine. When picking hardware, make sure it has good support for Linux. What specific info do you need about migrating from Windows to Linux?
Before diving in, check ProtonDB to see if the games you're interested in are playable on Linux. Also, note that some anti-cheat systems don’t work with Linux, which could affect gameplay.

Unfortunately, my current setup is too old and just can't keep up anymore.
