Hey everyone! It's been a while since I last built a PC—about 7 years—and I'm finally ready to put together a new setup. I've put together a parts list (link below). The only thing I won't be purchasing is storage since I'll be using drives I already own. I want this build to last and be capable of playing games like Cyberpunk, the upcoming GTA 6, and Baldur's Gate 3 at ultra settings with high frame rates on a 1440p monitor. I'm also considering an upgrade to 4k down the line. Given my budget of around $2k for all parts (excluding storage), do you see any major issues with my current list? I'd appreciate any feedback!

Looks like a great setup! I’m running a similar build with the 9800X3D, and I can assure you, it performs amazingly at 1440p. I’m maxing out almost every game and even thinking of moving to a 4k monitor since I'm hitting more than 240 fps on high settings. You should be thrilled with your performance!
Your build looks solid! The 5070 Ti is an excellent choice, like a budget-friendly 5080. Just for reference, here’s a refined list I came up with that might save you some cash:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Aqua Elite V3 66.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
- **Motherboard**: ASRock B850 Pro-A ATX AM5
- **Memory**: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB DDR5-6000
- **Graphics Card**: Gigabyte WINDFORCE SFF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- **Case**: Antec FLUX ATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: Montech CENTURY II 850 W 80+ Gold Certified
Total comes to around $1625. You can definitely get high frames for 1440p with this setup!
I was initially set on the 5070 Ti but found a 5080 nearby for $1k, which seemed like too good of a deal to pass up!
I have a couple of questions about your build:
1. Why did you choose that motherboard over the one in my initial list?
2. Is Montech a reliable brand for power supplies? I've heard mixed reviews.
That's wild! I remember when my old setup was cranking out numbers like that—good times. Thanks for sharing!
