What do you think of my new PC build with a 9800x3D?

I'm in the middle of putting together a new PC and I've decided to keep my RTX 3070 since I spent a lot on it during the pandemic. I've already bought some key components: an EVGA RTX 3070, a 9800x3D CPU, and Corsair 32GB DDR5 RAM running at 6000MHz CL36. I've compiled a list of parts that I can get for a decent price locally. The RAM is compatible with the motherboard, and I know that the 9800x3D will be overkill for the 3070 for now, but I'm planning to upgrade my GPU in a year or two. I'm curious about your thoughts on the parts I've chosen, and I also want to know if I should go with water cooling or if a decent air cooler would suffice.

Your build looks solid! I don't think you need water cooling; a good dual-tower air cooler like the Phantom Spirit should handle your CPU well. Enjoy building!

Ok thank you! 🙂

What country are you in? And do you have a budget in mind for the rest of the components? That could help narrow down cooling options and cases!

From France, and I guess around 500 euros for the motherboard, cooling, case, and power supply. Any suggestions?

Just a heads up, you might want to consider upgrading your GPU sooner rather than later if you're aiming for higher performance. But it's totally fine to stick with the 3070 for now!

Yeah I'm planning it but I want to keep using my 3070 for now!
