Has anyone else seen a blue horizontal bar that says 'voice recording' at the bottom of an iPhone screen? A family member was on the phone with me when their call dropped, and when I called back, they mentioned seeing that blue bar on their phone. They didn't touch their phone at all, and unfortunately, they didn't take a screenshot either. I've tried searching online for answers but couldn't find anything that matched.

It sounds like a notification from an app that was accessing the microphone. Your family member should check if any recording apps were running in the background. If they disabled Siri, it's less likely to be related to that. Keeping an eye on app permissions can help prevent surprises like this.
This might be a glitch or possibly an indicator from a background app. Sometimes, the iPhone can show those types of alerts if an app is using the microphone. If your family member had any recording app open or used Siri, that could explain it too. Best to check the app usage or restart the phone to clear it out.
That makes sense! Restarting it could help, and keeping the apps updated is always a good practice to avoid these glitches.
That's a good tip! It's weird how these notifications can pop up unexpectedly. Definitely needs to be checked out.
