Hey everyone! I'm curious about the Prototyping Engineer role. I came across a job listing, but the description seems pretty similar to a Solutions Architect position, and I couldn't find much additional information online. If anyone has insight into what this job entails, I would greatly appreciate it!

I worked as a Prototyping Engineer for four years. Essentially, when customers encounter tough problems that don’t have straightforward solutions, they reach out to our team. You’re expected to use AWS tools and AI to create solutions that customers can't tackle on their own. AI is a critical part of what you deliver, not just a separate tool. If you have specific questions about the role, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the info! That sounds really interesting. Do you have any insights on how the compensation compares to a Senior Software Engineer role? Is it more of a lateral move? I noticed the job description didn't mention leveling.
